SW 596 Experiential Play Therapies with Young Children
Advanced elective for students working directly with children and youth. Students will explore and apply clinical social work methods practice using experiential, relational and play-based interventions. The focus is on theoretical orientations/frameworks as applied in practice and informed by policy and research. Demonstration of practice methods and skills for working with younger children will be addressed. Students taking this course should have consistent access to young people in order to practice and apply classroom learning.
