PA 513 Public Service Ethics

Focuses on the principles of public service ethics in both public and nonprofit administration. This course examines critical concepts such as personal and professional values, the myth of value neutrality, and the pursuit of the public interest. It addresses issues related to ethical decision-making, value trade-offs, and ethical ambiguities, with particular emphasis on how ethical codes, fiscal responsibility, and administrative discretion shape the practices of both public and nonprofit organizations.
