Mth 482 Foundations for Teaching Introductory Statistics

Provides a foundation for planning, implementing, and assessing student learning of statistical inference in introductory probability and statistics courses. This course is intended for individuals who are prospective or current secondary teachers or college instructors. Topics include: point estimation and confidence intervals, properties of estimators, methods of estimation including method of moments, maximum likelihood estimation, methods of statistical inference, hypothesis testing, chi-square tests, ANOVA, regression, and correlation, and computer-assisted analysis.
