Secondary Education Endorsement (GTEP)

For students who complete a major in English and wish to teach Language Arts in middle or high schools, PSU’s Graduate School of Education offers a M.Ed. with certification in Language Arts through their Graduate Teacher Education Program (GTEP). Applicants to GTEP in Language Arts must complete specific prerequisites in the content area with grades of B- or better. PSU English majors may do this as part of their major requirements: early consultation with the GTEP admissions advisor can streamline this process and is strongly recommended for students interested in careers in secondary education.
