Psy 441 Bias, Perception, and the Legal System

Students will examine human behavior within the context of the five pillars (e.g., law enforcement, corrections, courts, forensic science, and academia) of the American criminal justice system. Attention will focus on the psychological constructs of implicit bias, perception and other factors that inform behaviors in a real-world context. This may include shared personal and/or professional experiences at the county, state, and federal levels.
