ESM 592 Foundations of Social-Ecological Systems
This theory and applications course acquaints students with key ecological, social, economic and philosophical theories underlying science and management of social-ecological systems. We explore a unifying conceptual model connecting biophysical and social parameters linked by ecosystem services, human perspectives, behaviors and institutional policies in coupled natural and human systems.
