CCJ 480 Reimagining Treatment and Justice
We can reimagine justice by thinking differently about punishment and corrections. By exploring the history, philosophy, and methods of community-based treatments, including probation, parole, halfway houses, and work release programs, students will critically assess the effectiveness of these alternatives while exploring contemporary innovations in corrections. Students will reimagine the criminal justice system and its potential to foster rehabilitation and reduce recidivism.
