Program Evaluation and Policy Analysis Graduate Certificate
The Graduate Certificate in Program Evaluation and Policy Analysis will meet the analysis and decision-making skills necessary to improve policy and program outcomes in the region. The certificate includes the following options for completion:
Option 1
Students who are enrolled in the MPA program have the option to add this graduate certificate as an option for completing their elective skill development coursework. As such, students in the MPA program will complete the following coursework:

Option 2
Students who apply to the Graduate Certificate in Program Evaluation and Policy Analysis as a standalone program complete the following coursework:
PA 551 | Qualitative Methods for Public and Nonprofit Managers | 4 |
PA 552 | Quantitative Methods for Public and Nonprofit Managers | 4 |
PA 554 | Policy Analysis Research | 3 |
PA 555 | Program Evaluation and Management | 3 |
| One additional graduate-level methods or skill development course | 3-4 |
Total Credit Hours: 17-18
In addition, students admitted to master’s degree programs at PSU other than the MPA may apply to use shared master’s credits to achieve this certificate in addition to their master’s degree. Details should be discussed with the Chair of the Department of Public Administration.
